An Oakview 84 photo album?????

I think that I'm running out of adjectives to describe how truly cute and adorable everyones' children are.

And as much as the guys want to give their wives ALL the credit, I can definitely see all of them- Mike, Dave G., Bob, Scott, Steve, and Todd- in their childrens' faces. And the same goes for all of the women, though I think the fact that each of their children are beautiful is perhaps less of a surprise.....

I know that many people e-mailed their family photos before Mike created this blog, and I was wondering if we (read: MIKE) could set up an additional link that would direct everyone to an Oakview '84 slide show or album so that we'd have everyone's pictures in one place.

Would that be possible Mike?

Anyhow, it's just an idea.

And I don't really want to put all the responsibility on Mike; he's done so much already. I'm willing to help out in any way, though my computer skills are probably no more advanced than Steve's.

The clinic I work at is in Vienna, Virginia (about 15 minutes west of DC). Where does your sister-in-law live in Virginia?

Good point about my pics. Remember when I said that my computer skills may be on par with Steve's? Well, seeing as he already posted his successfully, it appears that my skills are lagging well behind his.

My guess is that when the photo album is ready for prime time, and I'll have them ready to add (I hope).

And thank you for putting one together. I know that everyone is really appreciative of all the work you have done, and are continuing to do, to make this blog something really special.

Aaron,
Why did you move so far away from all of us here on the west coast??
It's so great to hear from you again. I'm actually looking at the picture we all took in LA a couple of years ago. God, the years go by fast.
Can't wait to see you in May!

Aaron (aka the lefty quarterback)-

Great to hear from you. As four our kids, the big joke in our family regarding their resemblance to me (poor kids) is that if my wife wasn't there for the actual birth of our children, she would start to ask questions.

Amazing to hear that you are a pediatrican. As the father of three, I can say that you perform a very valuable service not only for the kids, but for very nervous parents.

Good luck to Sarah on her last year of law school. Sounds like she is trying to figure out what to do next. If she ever wants to get the perspective of someone who has been practicing a while, just let me know.

Hey Alex!

I was really excited to hear that you were still in L.A. and doing so well! I think the last time we talked you had just gotten married (or were planning on getting married); and now you have two children! Congratulations! That is really wonderful. (Btw, have you sent pics yet?)

I also have trouble believing how quickly time has passed since we all got together that evening in L.A.

And yeah, there is definitely a part of me that is sad that I left So Cal (especially in January and February, though the winters here in DC are not nearly as cold as they were in Chicago/Skokie.)

These past couple of weeks have been pretty amazing, huh? It’s incredible how just hearing the names that I have not heard in so many years brings back so many memories.

I’m really looking forward to catching up with you and hearing more about your family, your job, and life in general.

Hopefully we’ll be able to do all of that at the reunion? I'm really looking forward to it!

Hey Todd!

It’s great to hear from you and to find out that you are doing so well! You have a really beautiful family! I think that if someone showed me that picture of your children out of the blue, even after not seeing you for 18 years (!), I would have said “these HAVE to be Todd Kantorczyk’s kids.” It’s great.

Thanks for the offer of advice for Sarah. She is definitely ready to be done with law school…..though as soon as she’s done she has to start studying for the Bar.....not a fun process; I’m sure you are happy that it is all behind you.

I always wondered what you were up to, as I thought I had heard that you were practicing law, but that you may also have been in DC at one time. Is that true?

Glad to see you still remain loyal to the Bears…..and the White Sox. Speaking of which, I guess I owe you (and Pauli, and Steve K. and Marc H.!) a belated congratulations on your World Series win. I was actually happy for Sox fans (my older bother Jacob is also a CWS fan), and not bitter as one may assume a Cub fan would be.

But hey, we have a new manager, some new players (one of whom hit 40 home runs with 40 stolen bases last year), some new pitching…..(sigh)…..I’m just saying that ANYTHING could happen…..
